Hazel Elaine Booth

Hazel Elaine Booth, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on March 26, 1942, in Marvin, South Dakota, to Elaine Meyer, who she adored and missed dearly. Throughout her life, Hazel exemplified grace, warmth, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone she encountered. Hazel's journey began in a small South Dakota town where she was raised with love and care. She graduated from high school in Kingman, Kansas in 1961, marking the first of many accomplishments in her life. Following her education, Hazel ventured into the workforce, dedicating over ten years to Diversicare of Chanute, where she made a positive impact on the lives of others before retiring in 2007. On June 8, 1974, Hazel married the love of her life, Clifford Booth, in El Dorado, Kansas. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Hazel was not only a devoted wife but also a nurturing mother to her children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clifford, their son, Bradley Lloyd, and her mother, Elaine Meyer. Her loss is profoundly felt by her surviving daughters, Kimberly Lloyd of Humboldt, and Janetia Head, along with her husband, William, of Humboldt. Hazel was also a proud grandmother to Ashlynn Booth, who brought her immeasurable joy, and her fiancée, Makayla Linden. Hazel had a passion for life that extended beyond her family. She found solace and joy in her hobbies, particularly in doing crossword puzzles and indulging in her favorite soap operas, with a special fondness for "General Hospital." These simple pleasures brought her happiness and served as a testament to her vibrant spirit. As we remember Hazel, let us celebrate the incredible woman she was. Her kindness, compassion, and love for her family and friends will forever remain in our hearts. While we grieve her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and guide us. A Celebration of Life to honor Hazel's life will be held on October 4, 2025, at the Humboldt Senior Center from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Rest in peace, dear Hazel. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
