Ella Mae Durbin Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother at 81 years of age went on to be with her Lord and Savior on October 31st 2007. Ella Mae (Murphy) Durbin was born on May 1st, 1926 to Edgar and Mae (Brogan) Murphy in Moline, KS. She attended school at St. Maryâ€™s in Moline and graduated from the Moline High School in 1944. Ella Mae Murphy married Ronald R. Durbin on September 9th, 1944 her life long love of 63 years. She and Ronald were blessed with 4 children, 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Mae (Brogan) Murphy, her in-laws J.W. and Edith Durbin. One sister Blendena Shafer and one brother Don A. Murphy. Sister-in-laws Maggie Murphy and Ruth Murphy, Brother-in-laws Dale Rhudy, Paul Shafer, Sam Peebler, and Gene Durbin , four nephews, Ronald Gene Durbin, Don Murphy Jr., Dennis Ray Rhudy, and Patrick Murphy. Ella Mae was the Proud and Loving Mother, of Ronald R. Durbin Jr. and wife Neta of Anchorage AK., Sharon L Patteson and husband Tom of Moline, KS., Deanna S. Cannon and husband William of Moline, KS., Nancy J. Liebau and husband Ken of Grenola KS. Grandmother of Dr. Ronald R. Durbin III and Wife Lu of New London, CT., Denise M. Durbin of Housatonic, Mass. Robert John Durbin and wife Nula of Hartford, Ct., Kristina A. Durbin and fiancÃ© Jim Pugh of Raleigh, N.C. Cathy (Patteson) Anderson and FiancÃ© Scott Landregan, Thomas Wade Patteson and Companion Amy Bliss of Moline, KS., William J Cannon Jr. and Wife Natalie of Anchorage, AK. Judd A. Liebau and Wife Amy of Chapman, KS., Jake W. Liebau and Wife Denise of Cambridge, KS.. Great Grandchildren are Holden Spurrier and Sabrina Anderson, Sarah, Isaac, and Joshua Patteson, Maxwell R. Cannon, Rylee and Whitley Liebau, Chance and Camden Liebau. Ella Mae is survived by one brother Harry Murphy and wife Ruth, sisters Ruth Peebler and June Rhudy, one sister-in-law Bonnie Durbin, and numerous nephews and nieces. Ella Mae enjoyed her Church, flower gardening, playing bridge, cooking and spending time at their hide-a-way. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Maryâ€™s Altar Society. Her fondest times were with her husband, family and all the little children. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 5, 2007 at St. Maryâ€™s Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 AM to 1 PM. Rosary will be at 1 PM. Interment will be a private family service at Moline Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Maryâ€™s Funeral Fund and may be sent to Countryside Funeral Home, P.O. Box 247, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
